Hillsdale College Research Repository

The Hillsdale College Research Repository preserves and provides access to the research and creative output of the faculty, staff, and students of Hillsdale College.

Policies

Content:

  1. Work included in the Hillsdale College Research Repository must have been produced by a Hillsdale College-affiliated faculty member, staff member, or student.
  2. Student work is limited to dissertations, theses, and published works (articles, conference papers, etc.) produced while a student at Hillsdale College.
    1. Student work must be submitted through the ETD portal/form in PDF format.
      1. Undergraduate Theses
      2. Master's Theses
      3. Doctoral Dissertations
      4. Presented Paper
      5. Published Article
    2. Students may select open access, embargoed, or Hillsdale College-only access for their submitted work.
    3. The work submitted must be unchanged from the version accepted by an instructor as part of the requirements of a course, or by a dissertation or thesis committee.
    4. Paper copies of theses and dissertations, with the signed title sheets, should be submitted to the Hillsdale College Archives. 
  3. Staff work is limited to commercially-published works with publication agreements allowing the submission of an open access file to the repository. The works must have been published while the staff member was employed by Hillsdale College.

Researcher Profiles:

  1. Only full-time and emeritus Hillsdale College faculty, including librarians and artist/teachers, are included in the researcher profiles.
    1. Part-time faculty members are not included.
    2. If a faculty member leaves for employment at another institution, their profile is deleted from the repository.
  2. Researcher profiles include citations of works produced as well as open access files as permitted by publishing agreements
    1. Profiles may contain works from the researcher’s entire career, including works published while employed at other institutions.
